A bit about our spa and worldview.

I’d had a few facials in my life, but they felt like a treat, not something essential. That changed when my own skin suddenly stopped cooperating.

What changed my perspective

Out of the blue, I began having intense reactions to products I’d used for years. Moisturizer randomly made my face feel like it was on fire. Sometimes, my skin just hurt for no reason. I’d always been a little sensitive, but this was something new.

Around the same time, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, which does affect the skin. I assumed that once I started medication, my skin would bounce back. It didn’t.

Searching for answers

I went to a dermatologist, hoping for clarity. Their only advice was “sometimes people just become allergic to things. Try CeraVe.” I was so disappointed, my skin still hurt, and I still needed help.

The facial that changed everything

Feeling lost, I made an appointment with an esthetician, assuming I needed to toss all my products and start over. But she explained that I simply had a compromised skin barrier, not a mystery allergy. What I needed was patience, consistency, and care. After a few monthly facials while using barrier support products at home, my skin was feeling so much better. The pain went away. The fear around products disappeared. I really wasn't allergic to my skincare products.

Why I Do This Work

My experience completely reshaped how I saw skincare. Because of my thyroid condition, my skin will never be what most people would consider “normal.” My skin— on face and body — requires extra care to stay calm and healthy. That’s why I’m especially passionate about body treatments and barrier repair, and why I focus on helping clients understand the why behind their skin’s behavior.

I didn’t grow up thinking of skincare as a necessity.

Skincare Training and Philosophy

Beauty is diversity

I chose to train at The Skin Institute Internationale in Hawai’i, where I could learn in a setting rooted in multiculturalism and skin diversity. Working with local residents and international visitors shaped my inclusive, adaptive approach to skin and body care.

Comfort is care

I prioritize not just results, but also how my clients feel throughout their treatments. From music to lighting, your comfort is the focus. I take pride in offering a gentle, efficient hair removal techniques.

Human touch is healing

I deliver high-touch, customized treatments in a luxury-focused environment. Your time in the spa is special, and skincare is an important form of healthcare. All bodies are welcomed and honored during treatments.

Planet health is people health

I curate each experience with intention, using natural, plant-based product lines to nourish and rejuvenate the skin. Skincare products are soothing on sensitive skin, pregnancy-safe, and gentle on the planet. Scents are always naturally derived.

I went in today for a chin waxing...she made it a point to get every last hair but to also blend the line so that you couldn't just tell that I got my chin waxed since I didn't want my whole face waxed. She was fast but not rushed and very sweet.

Several people told me my face was glowing, and I couldn't agree more! The massage was incredibly soothing, I felt like I was walking on a cloud afterward. Highly recommend!
